It's Holiday Eve
It's been a bit of a tough run-up to our holiday, with a few things bumping excitement to the side. The one that has been the hardest is that last week we said a final farewell to Her Majesty the Empress Havisham who has allowed us to live with her for the past 14 years. She came to us as a rescue post-quake and very soon forgot that it was us who had done her a favour. Havies was a big personality cat and working from home meant that we spent a lot of time together. The house has felt very empty without her here and needless to say I have been in bits. However, I'm grateful that it isn't something that had to happen without us here.
After enjoying a great time with old friends at a lovely wedding on Saturday, and now being close enough to do our online check-in last night, I have felt the excitement ticking up again. Just the spray tan to do and I'm ready! All going according to plan, the next post will be from Dubai...
So sorry to hear about miss havisham 💔. Looking forward to following you all on your trip. How was the flight? Luxurious I bet xx
