Day 27 - Exploring Capri

Today Taylor and Tash came to Capri to surprise Tony, so after a lazy start we left them to have time together and headed off to explore Capri. We are close to rhe Blue Grotto entrance ao were going to start there, but 2 massive cruise ships have docked so the queue was massive. We decided to skip it and headed instead to Anacapri to take the chairlift to the top of the island, as the weather was predicted to close in later. Another massive queue, but it moved quite steadily. It is a breathtaking view up there, and the ride itself is really peaceful. It was as good as we remembered from last time, but this time we had time to stop longer at the top. T4 arrived to join the queue at the bottom shortly before we went up, so we all met up for a drink and snacks at the top. Back down at the bottom we wandered around Anacapri, stopped for lunch, then meandered some more before catching a bus to Capri town. It is amazing to see the view from the main street, which is perched on the clifftop. Although we had planned to join T2 for dinner after they had seen the other T2 off on the ferry, we were exhausted from dealing with crowds and noise all day so headed back to the serenity of our accommodation to chillax before another big travel day tomorrow. That meant that we were in the perfect spot to enjoy the speactaculat sunset that didnt show up on schedule yesterday for my birthday dinner.
